My client is a globally successful financial services organisation who is at the top of their game and due to their ongoing success; are looking to recruit a Senior Analyst Programmer. You will be joining a global team and therefore a familiarity with this environment would be beneficial as would an understanding/previous experience within investment management.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

To analyse, design, code, test, document and implement error connections, program enhancements and new programs in accordance with systems standards
Assist in the testing and implementation of new releases; hardware and software
Control software installation, development, testing and implementation
Ensure system support activities are performed as per established procedures and service level agreements
Ensuring compatibility between application systems and the technical /network infrastructure
Procedure review and improvements

The core skill requirements/experience for this position:

Java, Servlets/JSP, JDBC
Windows/Unix Operating Systems
Working knowledge of SQL and RDBMS (Oracle Sybase or SQL Server)
Query/Reporting tools such as Business Objects and Crystal Reports

It would be a particular advantage if you have any experience of XML technologies, SOA or EAI environments, Perl, website development and Lotus Notes. The ability to mentor/train others in program development will also be looked upon favourably.
