Excellent opportunities exist at several levels to join the Applications Team within the ICT Services Department of a successful public body. The Team is responsible for development, implementation and support of a wide range of business solutions used throughout the company.
Reporting to a Project Leader, the successful candidates will supervise small teams of development staff responsible for developing, supporting and implementing new and existing applications. We are looking for professionals with proven experience of taking business requirements through the design, build, test and delivery stages of the project life cycle. A strong project management background is required along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The role is both varied and challenging and will require expertise in at least three of the following skill sets: Oracle RDBMS (9 and 10), Oracle AS, VB.net, ASP.net, J2EE, SQL plus, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms and Reports (Version 6i upwards), UNIX (Solaris). Also a sound working knowledge of web development would be an advantage.
